One Month!

Ready for the doctor!

Our baby is already a month old! We went to the doctor yesterday for his check-up and he got a great report! Emmet now weighs 8 lbs. 5 oz. (10th percentile), measures 22 3/4 inches long (85th percentile) and has a 15 in head (75th percentile). So he is long, lean and growing in to his Barnes head!

We spent July 4th weekend in Natchez, where we got to see a lot of friends! More pictures to come from our trip when I get them off of Chad's computer.

We were all excited to see how Carlyle was going to react to her new baby cousin, in anticipation for her baby brother coming this fall. All in all, she was more interested in the toys that Dach set out for her than "Bady Entend." She did very sweetly take him his bottle and some toys, though. I am sure she will make a great cousin and big sister!

Chad's First Father's Day

We got to celebrate Chad's first Father's Day today, after a whole 15 days of fathering! I have to say, I have been blown away by how lovingly he cares for our little boy. He has been patient, so supportive of me and incredibly involved in all aspects of taking care of this baby! I love you, Chad!
