Birthday Surprises!

Birthday Pancakes (gf) with berries and "fresh" 

(aka real whipped cream. Fresh is what Chad called it when he was little)

Then off to the Farm!

We saw donkeys, ponies, pigs, chickens, kittens,

Some gorgeous horses...

And of course, the goats. 

These goats know what's coming.

Emmet fed them and said, "Oh, th-th-thank you goats!"

After naptime, it was time to ride the choo choo train!

He felt the wind in his hair...

Emmet was born at 4:38 pm, so I take a picture of him at 4:38 pm on his birthday:

And the last picture taken on the trolley because right on cue of turning 2 a major tantrum erupted.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Emmet. You are the joy and the sunshine of our lives. You challenge us to be better parents and better people, you teach our hearts to love bigger than we ever knew was possible. You are so smart and funny and sweet. You are our life's best work. We love you, buddy.
